I LOVE Ransom Alphas!

Ransom Alphas are a fun new trend both in paper scrapping and the digital scrapping world. They are available from countless manufacturers in a variety of mediums and formats. Basically a “Ransom Alpha” is an alphabet that is made up of mismatched letters and fonts. And while there are several products available for purchase, here are few ideas for designing your very own!

1. Use Your Digital Supplies- By combining your favorite fonts and alphas you can create your own digital “Ransom Alpha” to use in your digital los or to print out for hybrid projects as well.

2. Use Your Imagination & Your Own Hand- Doodle your own “Ransom Alpha” by hand, either with a pencil and paper or with your graphic tablet. Nothing will be more original than creating your very own Ransom alpha from scratch!

3. Use Your Stamp Stash- Try creating your own “Ransom Alpha” stamp, by combining several of your acrylic letter stamps onto one block to create a fun photo mat or background for your los.

4. Use Your Magazines, Junk Mail and Collage Materials- Thumb through your magazines, junk mail etc. and clip letters that jump out at you and sort them for future use on your art journaling pages and layouts.

5. Use Your Leftover Chipboard and Alpha Stickers – Ever wonder what to do with all of your leftover alpha stickers and chipboard letters…why not create your own “Ransom Title” on your next lo or altered project.

Not enough time to make your own…no problem! Check out some of these fun Ransom Alpha Products:

All those beautiful purples and the butterflies too...coupled with Kaisercraft's Antique Tag Mini should make for great fun... I can hardly wait!

And best of all Crazy Daisy has announced that Stacy Julian will be their May Guest Designer!  I am dying to see what she does with this kit...as well as, what my fellow Crazy Daisy Team members come up with! Meanwhile here's a few more layouts from April's kit for you to take a look at!

Digi Heaven!

I'm sure those of you that frequent my blog can tell that there are three kinds of weeks in my life: (1) a "Busy Week", where there tends to be little time for blogging, (2). "Paper Weeks" where I find myself submerged in my latest kit or paper purchase and (3)"Digi Weeks" where I sit at my computer days at a time playing around with every bit of digi goodness I can get my hands on!

This week I just so happen to be in "Digi Heaven!"  Check out some of these amazing digi products that I've found soooo inspiring, that I couldn't help but share!

1. Creative Juices Templates by Biograffiti- They're so effortless, yet versatile!  Check out all ten in Biograffiti's store @ ScrapArtsit.

2. Stitched Down No 1. by ErinINK- I absolutely love these stitches...they're so chunky, yet realistic.  I LOVE to add stitching to my digital pages for realism and texture...and lately I find myself reaching for these! Check them out  here.

3. EVERYTHING Aja Abney!-  This past week she held a 50% off sale and I went wild!  I absolutely love her natural meets funky style! The lo below features papers and elements from her Breezy and Mindy's World Kits.

4. Funky Color Palettes- Like those in Emily Powers recent Collab Kits! Umbrella Built For Two (w/ Leora Sanford), Ordinary Day (w/ Paislee Press) and Nature Boy.  Check out her store @ Oscraps for a little color in your life!

5. The Spring Junque Collection @ House of 3- These fabulous papers, borders, and stickers are so vivid and chic, yet have a sweet vintage charm to them.  I couldn't wait to use them!
